Grand Canyon South Rim Announces New Mule Tour
GRAND CANYON, Ariz. – Starting today, Oct. 5, 2009, Xanterra South Rim L.L.C.* is offering a new three-hour trail ride in Grand Canyon National Park. The“Abyss Overlook Mule Ride” replaces the seven-hour trip to Plateau Point.
Overnight mule rides to Phantom Ranch on the floor of the Grand Canyon are not affected.
Relics and Rods Run to the Sun
LAKE HAVASU CITY, Ariz. – The 32nd Annual Relics and Rods Run to the Sun will be hosted October 21-25 at The Nautical Beachfront Resort in Lake Havasu City, AZ.
This annual classic car show and poker run is open to all participants with car and truck models, 1972 and older. Ten events will take place over 5 days including an opening night Kick-Off Party, Poker Run, “Racing for Pink Slips” Fashion Show, “Show and Shine” Car Show, parade on McCulloch Blvd., plus five more great events.

Oktoberfest Records Banner Year
Mount Angel. The numbers are almost all in and it is apparent that gross sales and attendance were up at this year’s Mount Angel Oktoberfest. The three lead non-profit food booths broke records. The Silverton Knights of Columbus reported gross sales of $48,061.00, followed by Saint Mary Parish Mount Angel with $47,848.63 and the Gervais Knights of Columbus with $39,116.50. The non-profits take their earnings back to their communities to help foster their good works.
