You can party or relax on a patio in the new 35-foot StreamLite travel trailer that features a fold-down sun deck on the side.
Built by Gulf Stream, the 30RKP model in the StreamLite Champagne series has a sliding patio door that leads to a 60-square-foot sun deck that sits under an awning. The deck is sturdy enough to hold 2,500 pounds, and includes access to a small refrigerator and a cubbyhole for snacks. A TV in a weather-sealed compartment is on a swing arm bracket so it can be angled into a range of positions.
Pual Campbell, Gulf Stream director of marketing, said the deck has many advantages. “You can come and go inside and out without having to scale the trailer steps every time. That means you can move food, games and table settings in and out without having to carry them up and down the stairs, too.”
In addition, he said, the deck affords a great view, and makes it possible to be outdoors without tracking dirt or mud back into the trailer.
The trailer has a rear galley and includes both a U-shaped dinette and a counter with stools. The living area has a sofa and entertainment center. In the bedroom at the front of the trailer is a queen-size bed with a premium foam mattress.
Gulf Stream, a family-owned company based in Nappanee, Indiana, builds the StreamLite with vacuum bonded sidewalls with a synthetic substrate that is waterproof and light weight. It contains no wood or formaldehyde, and is mold and mildew resistant.
The base MSRP is $34,980, but the manufacturer advises customers to check with their dealer for actual market prices. In addition to the sun deck model, the StreamLite Champagne offers nine other floor plans, and similar models are available under the Gulf Breeze brand.
