Tourism Whistler in British Columbia reports that business is beginning to recover this winter after three consecutive seasons of decline that included a drop in foreign travel attributed to the SARS crisis and the war in Iraq.
The number of room nights booked this year is expected to increase 5 to 7 percent over last year’s bookings. The increase comes after a number of promotions, including Whistler Blackcomb’s Edge Card, which provides residents of British Columbia and Washington State with discounts on lift tickets.
