Passes Required at Montana Parks

People who don’t live in Montana but want to visit its state parks can either pay an entrance fee of $5 per day or buy a non-resident annual pass for $25. Montana residents are exempt from the fee because they help support the state park system through their vehicle registration fees.

Non-resident annual passes may be obtained online by going to fwp.mt.gov and clicking on “Buy a License” or in person at 24 state parks and at state fish, wildlife and park regional offices.
