Thor Industries, the world’s largest RV manufacturer, will move its corporate headquarters this spring from Jackson Center, Ohio, home of its Airstream division, to Elkhart, Indiana.
“Given our commitment to the RV industry, we want to be more accessible and active in the community where a large majority of RVs are produced and where more than 70 percent of our operations are located,” said Peter B. Orthwein, Thor chairman and chief executive officer.
In addition to housing the headquarters, the new offices along the St. Joseph River in downtown Elkhart will include the corporate human resources, finance and accounting, legal and information technology departments that were are already in Elkhart.
Bob Martin, Thor president and chief operating officer, said, “This new location will not only bring Thor closer to many of our subsidiaries, but we will also be closer to most of our suppliers. When we think about how important relationships are to our business, it’s clear that Elkhart is the right place for us to be.”
Thor brands include CrossRoads, Dutchmen, Keystone, Heartland, Breckenridge, Redwood and Thor Motor Coach.
