Winnebago Industries, a leader in the motorhome business, has reentered the travel trailer market by completing the purchase of SunnyBrook RV for $5.7 million through a new subsidiary called Winnebago of Indiana.
Elvie Frey, who was majority owner of SunnyBrook RV, will serve as president of Winnebago of Indiana. The company will build trailers and fifth wheels under the SunnyBrook brand and will also produce Winnebago trailers and fifth wheels.
Frey said, “We are very excited to join the Winnebago Industries team and be part of an iconic American company. This is a great opportunity for us to grow our organization as we develop exciting new products for both the SunnyBrook and Winnebago brands.”
The trailer manufacturing facilities are in Middlebury, Indiana. Winnebago Industries is headquartered in Forest City, Iowa.
