Come to the Puyallup Home & RV Show April 29th – May 2nd at the Puyallup Fair & Events Center and lay claim to a new travel trailer, fifth wheel, truck camper or folding trailer (aka Towable RV) while the supply is good.
Towable RV sales have gone crazy with the market nearly doubling since last year! The latest reports show travel trailers represent six out of ten new RVs shipped in February, with towables as a whole representing 90% of all RV shipments. Some manufactures are back ordered in excess of 90 days. Therefore, if you factory order a new trailer now you will be lucky to see it by the Fourth of July weekend. Not only is there a shortage of towable RVs, but there is a shortage of drivers to deliver them from the factories too. This could push back delivery of your new travel trailer closer to Labor Day! Thankfully, dealers inventories for the upcoming Puyallup Home & RV Show are good and many can deliver your new towable RV nearly immediately. The best part about the show is all those towable RVs are in one place for easy comparison shopping, the dealers are competing for your business and the factory representatives are on hand to answer even the most technical question. As for me, I beat the rush and parked a new trailer in my driveway last month. Stay tuned for many adventures featuring my new travel trailer. It is set up for boon docking and back road travel, which I am sure will lead us all to some very interesting places and predicaments!
