Woof! – Hi, my name is Smokey, I am part black Labrador and something else which I guess classifies me as a mutt. My owner is busy packing for a backpacking trip and is too busy to write this weeks installment. He says I am too old to go with him so I have to stay home and blog. Hey, I am just a teenager at only 13 years old, but my owner says I am older than Moses and something like 91 in dog years, but I don’t feel a day over 80. Anyway, I would like to share why RVing is a dogs life. A RV allows me to sleep in my own bed with my own blanket every night. No need to sniff out and paw the floor to find the best spot to lay down every time. With a RV, the bathroom is just right outside the door. No need for long walks down the hallway and out through the lobby like staying at a hotel or motel. Being a senior myself, I am sure you seniors out there in cyberspace can appreciate that too! Plus, some lodging establishments won’t let me stay in their facilities or charge extra for cleaning like I am the plague of the earth or something. Speaking of walks, there is somewhere new to walk just about everyday when we are RVing. I love checking out the new smells and sights at the different places we stop. The best part about RVing is sitting around the campfire and eating! I can lay by the fire keeping my old bones warm, and I am Johnny on the spot when food is dropped from the picnic table or someone’s paper plate balanced in their lap. I am happy to do my part to keep a clean camp. Besides, if I don’t clean it up those pesky chipmunks run in and get all the good stuff. Well, I need to stop now as I can’t find some of the letters on the key board, as my toenails have worn some of the symbols off. Plus, it is time for my morning nap, after all I am 91 you know. Just remember, dogs like RV adventures too! Woof for now!
