Flourescent lights are standard equipment in many RV’s. While they do light up the RV fairly efficiently, they can be too brite and even the newest models are not the best looking. This customer came to us looking for ideas to replace the factory installed flourescent lights in their Phaeton motorhome and also to have MCD American Duo shades installed in the cockpit of their coach. They wanted to go with halogen spotlights with a nickel trim ring . The old lights were recessed leaving holes in the ceiling, so we had some custom built cherry shrouds built to house the lights as well as cover the holes. We wired the lights into three sections, living room, bathroom and bedroom each of these were on dimmer switches to allow adjustment of the lights.
All of the side windows in this coach already had MCD shades from the factory, while the front had a traditional pleated curtain. We removed that and installed the much cleaner and modern looking MCD cockpit shades.
