The industry standard location for TV’s in class A motorhomes for years has been in the center of the front upper cabinets, or worst yet over the drivers head. This leads to the strained neck syndrome due to looking sideways from any viewing position. Many of the newer coaches are repositioning the TV’s to a more suitable location. In this coach the couple wanted to be able to sit on the sofa together and watch TV. Just inside the door above the lounge chair was a small bank of cabinets that occupied a space big enough for a 32″ flat screen. After removing the front TV and surrounding vinyl box, we rebuilt the center cabinet using the doors we removed from the future TV location. We finished the inside of the cabinet with a soft headliner material for a nice storage space. Oak side panels were installed to finish the sides of the TV, and a slight modification to the window treatment finished off the installation. Another advantage to eliminating the front TV is how much it opens up the view out the front window!
