Located in sunny Mesa, Arizona, View Point RV & Golf Resort offers a wealth of fun activities, along with some great golf. The par-71, 6,374-yard Championship Course at Viewpoint opened in 1996 and features generous tree-lined traditional fairways, immaculate greens, and panoramic mountain views. With more than 40 bunkers and lots of water hazards, strategic course management is a must. Four sets of tees accommodate players of all ability levels.
“This is traditional golf,” says Frank Samprone, View Point’s PGA professional. “It’s not overwhelming for the average player, but it still provides a good degree of challenge for the better player. Our pace of play is excellent; an 18 hole round rarely takes more than four hours and 15 minutes. It’s also a great course to walk.”
This very walkable 18-hole course puts a demand on a player’s strategic shot-making. There are three lakes and a small creek which bring water into play on 10 holes. On many greens, you’ll want to keep your approach shot below the hole, as the slope of the greens are sometimes severe from back to front.
After golf, there are lots of choices at View Point. Depending on the time of year, there’s tennis, Major League Baseball’s spring training, theater, arts, sciences, hiking, biking, swimming, fishing, and more. Your options are plentiful; you can stay for a day, week, month, season, or longer. View Point RV & Golf Resort also offers well-designed cottages in addition to RV spaces that accommodate travel trailers, motor homes, and 5th wheels.
Be sure to check out the relaxing atmosphere of Champions Grill, which overlooks the 18th green and fountain. It’s open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and offers a pleasing menu of tasty appetizers, hearty sandwiches, ice cold drinks and, daily specials. Champions Grill also boasts six new hi-definition flat screen televisions.
Non-stop activities are offered year round at View Point, including top entertainers performing from January through March. For more information on View Point RV & Golf Resort, visit http://www.viewpointrv.com/.
