Sometime between the evening of May 9th, 2010 and the following morning, thieves stole a controversial war memorial cross located in the Mojave Desert National Preserve. A $125,000 reward has been offered for tips leading to the conviction of whoever stole the Mojave Cross which served as a memorial to Americans who served during World War I since 1934. Dispersed camping “boondocking” is allowed in the Mojave National Preserve with several great spots to camp at the base of Sunrise Rock where the cross was located. What a great opportunity to play CSI and boondock on your next RV outing. Learn more here.
