In the May 2012 edition of RV Life magazine there is an article entitled “Afloat in a Gothic Cave“. The article covers Natural Bridges where a stream travels through sections of a cavern providing a great place to cool off during a hot California Summer. Those of us with a sense of adventure can swim or float right through the hillside! If you need a better visual of what awaits you check out a short video here. If you are looking for even more adventure and a convenient spot to base camp with your RV while visiting Natural Bridges then check out Moaning Caverns.
The caverns are just a few miles “up” the road from Natural Bridges and overnight stays are allowed for a parking charge of $10 per vehicle. Moaning Caverns offers a whole slew of activities for the adventurous including: zip lines, repelling, adventure cave trip, climbing tower and more.
Calaveras County may be best known for Mark Twain’s Celebrated Jumping Frog, but for adventure seekers it offers so much more!
