I recently came across the following press release, “RV LIFE Trip Wizard is a visual planning tool designed for RVers by RVers. Introduced at several Florida RV shows, it has received strong interest from a wide variety of RV owners, the developer announced today. Featured in the May issue of Family Motor Coaching magazine, RV LIFE Trip Wizard addresses the often difficult task of how to plan long, multi-stop trips. The visual manner in which the system works makes trip planning fast, easy and fun. Richard Hill, a partner in the company and long time RVer said, “A few years ago my wife and I made a 7,200 mile trip around the USA. It took us about two and one half weeks to do all the planning. That same trip can be planned in about 30 minutes using RV LIFE Trip Wizard.” The wizard is accessible from all PCs, MACs, tablet computers and smart phones. There is no software to buy, maintain, or update. A subscription includes a 15-day free trial and is available at http://www.rvtripwizard.com.”
That’s all fine and dandy, but will it direct you to a forgotten mining camp, followed by a unique geological formation in the desert, then to the nearest boondocking location, etc….etc.…etc? Please share if you have had any experience with this product. Inquiring adventurous RVers want to know.

Dave Helgeson’s many roles in the RV industry started before he even had a driver’s license. His grandparents and father owned an RV dealership before the term “RV” had been coined, and Dave played a pivotal role in nearly every position of an RV dealership. He and his wife Cheri launched their own RV dealership in the Pacific Northwest. The duo also spent 29 years overseeing regional RV shows. Dave has also served as President of a local chapter of the Recreational Vehicle Dealers Association (RVDA), worked on the board of advisors for the RV Technician Program of a local technical college, and served as a board member of the Manufactured Home and RV Association. Dave’s reputation earned him the title of “The foremost expert on boondocking,” bestowed by RV industry icon, the late Gary Bunzer (The RV Doctor). When he’s not out boondocking, you’ll find Dave in the spotlight at RV shows across the country, giving seminars about all things RVing. He and Cheri currently roam in their fifth travel trailer, with Dave doing all the service, repair and modifications to his own unit.
