The Bling bike helmet from Livall integrates communications, music and lighting functions in what is billed as the world’s first smart cycling helmet.
An LED lighting system illuminates the helmet and incorporates turn signals to safely replace traditional hand signals. A phone holder snaps a smartphone on the handlebars and a Bling Jet Remote Control connects the phone and helmet. A battery power bank can charge the phone. A wind-canceling microphone enables the rider to answer calls, and the system converts text messages to voice. A Bluetooth speaker allows the rider to listen to music while cycling. There is also a walkie-talkie function so cycling teams can communicate with each other.
The helmets are available in red, blue and yellow. The Bling helmet and remote control are priced at $238. The phone holder is $79. A sensor system to measure speed, distance, calories and more is available for $39. For information, visit livall.com.
