The Chaheati All-Season Heated Chair may look like an ordinary collapsible canvas chair, but what makes it different is the heating system.
The chair has four temperature settings from 98 degrees to 145 degrees. A lithium ion rechargeable battery and carbon fiber non-wire heating elements throughout the chair provide the warmth. The battery supplies up to six hours of heat per charge and lasts for more than 500 uses, according to the manufacturer.
The chair’s inventor, Kyle Smith, said the idea for the chair came on a cold night as people gathered around a bonfire. “We were all warm and toasty on the front of our bodies and a block of ice on our backsides,” he recalled. “While watching my frustrated wife repeatedly sit, stand and turn like a turkey on a rotisserie to warm up, I thought she needed a chair. After researching the market and not finding one, we decided to create one.”
The chair, which can accommodate up to 280 pounds, sells for $89.99. For information, visit chaheati.com.
