The Arlington Fly-In will include air shows, hot air balloons, plane rides, displays of military equipment and aviation seminars Thursday through Saturday, July 11 to 13, at the Arlington Airport in Arlington, Washington.
Planes from the Flying Heritage Collection, the Heritage Flight Foundation and the Vintage Airplane Museum will be on hand for this celebration of fun, flight and friendship. There will also be a large display of military equipment.
Air shows will start each day at 2 p.m. There will be a hot air balloon night glow Friday evening and a night pyrotechnic air show on Saturday evening.
Rides will be available on helicopters and antique biplanes or you can experience aviation in a simulator. The event will include daily seminars on topics such as aircraft building and radio controlled aircraft. There will also be presentations on aviation history by speakers, including Tuskegee airmen.
You can bring your RV to camp at the event. There are no utility hookups, but shower facilities are provided. An outdoor theater shows feature-length films each evening, and if you want to take a break from cooking, there is a food court. A shuttle service will take people to stores and a street fair in downtown Arlington.
