Coach-Net, which provides roadside service to RVers, is offering a new plan to protect RVs against road hazards. Called Hazard Protect, the insurance covers tires and wheels damaged by common road hazards such as metal, nails, screws, potholes, glass and debris. There is no deductible, and terms can be from one to seven years.
Damaged tires will be repaired or replaced, and the coverage includes mounting, valve stems, balancing, sales tax and customary labor charges. Hazard Protect is part of a suite of products serving RVers. The products include Roadside Protect, which provides RV technical and roadside assistance to Coach-Net members; RV Protect, which is an extended service contract for motorhomes and trailers, and Asset Protect, which closes the financial gap in coverage when the payout for the total loss on an RV is less than the loan balance.
