Country music stars Keith Urban, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert will perform at the Oregon Jamboree Country Music Festival in Sweet Home, Oregon, July 30 to Aug. 1.
The jamboree will be held on a seven-acre site bordered by Sankey Park and the historic Weddle Covered Bridge. In addition to country music from top artists, the event will include beer and wine gardens, food booths and RV and tent camping.
Keith Urban, who was born in New Zealand and grew up in Australia, moved to Nashville in 1992 to pursue a career in country music, and quickly made his mark as a singer, songwriter and guitarist with platinum-selling albums, Grammy awards, Country Music Association awards and Academy of Country Music Awards. He will headline the Friday concerts that will begin with the Chad Williams Band, Sgt. 1st Class Jamie Buckley of the U.S. Army recruiting team and The Band Perry.
Blake Shelton, who grew up in Ada, Oklahoma, singing at weddings and parties and performing in talent contests and went on to become a country music star, will be the final performer on Saturday. Also on the bill are Julianne Hough, a singer who first gained national attention as a professional dancer on “Dancing with the Stars,” along with Neal McCoy, the Bellamy Brothers and Travis LeDoyt.
Miranda Lambert, who made a sensational debut with her album “Kerosene” in 2005, will close out the concert Series Sunday evening. She will be preceded to the stage by Marty Stuart, the Oak Ridge Boys and Travis Tritt.
