A Finnish company that has specialized in diesel stove and heating products for the marine industry has entered the RV market with the Wallas XC Duo for motorhomes and travel trailers.
The XC Duo in the open position serves as a cooking surface, and when the blower lid is closed, it can act as a forced air heater. It operates quietly with diesel fuel, using between three and seven ounces of fuel per hour, depending on where the power is set. It draws less than an amp of DC current power for every hour it runs. A thermal control panel keeps the room temperature steady by controlling the heating output.
The system eliminates the need for pressure tanks, and the absence of an exposed flame assures safety. The XC Duo can be operated from below sea level to an elevation of 9,500 feet. It is constructed with corrosion-free stainless steel and aluminum and is equipped with a Schott Ceran ceramic cooking surface for easy cleaning.
The Wallas XC Duo is imported by Scan Marine Equipment of Seattle. For information online, visit wallas.us.
