Fleetwood Quits Trailer Business

The company said it would continue to operate its motorhome and manufactured housing businesses while seeking buyers for these business units.  Closure of the travel trailer business eliminated 675 jobs, but the company said it would continue to employ 3,000 people at 15 plants in 10 states. The company is headquartered in Riverside, California.

In its bankruptcy filing, the company listed assets of $558.3 million and liabilities of $518 million. Revenues in the last fiscal year totaled $1.7 billion.
