GMAC to Become Ally Financial

GMAC is changing the name of its consumer and dealer-related auto and RV finance operations in North America to Ally Financial, starting in the U.S. on Aug. 23. The company provides RV financing under an agreement with Thor Industries and auto financing for General Motors, Chrysler, Saab and Fiat Mexico.
