According to a recent release from the Recreational Vehicle Industry Association (RVIA), RV shipments continued their remarkable roll, reaching an impressive 374,246 total units for 2015, an increase of 4.9 percent over 2014. This is the best annual total since 2006. The year also marked the sixth consecutive annual increase in RV shipments since the low point experienced during the Great Recession.
While towable units achieved a cumulative total of 326,936 units for 2015, up 4.5 percent from the previous year, motorhomes were up even more on a percentage basis, with 47,310 units shipped – a 7.6 percent increase over 2014 totals.
