The wheels are in steady motion for the 2016 iRV2.com International Rally, scheduled for September 11 to 17 in Elkhart, IN., as several exciting details have already been finalized to provide an exciting week in the heart of RV country. Visitors to this year’s event can expect many insightful RV-related seminars, activities – on and off-site – as well as a series of great dining choices to suit everyone’s tastes.

Hosted at the Elkhart Campground, the festivities begin on Sunday, September 11 with registration and a Welcome Social at the Elkhart Campground in the evening. This is where participants can meet-and-greet fellow RVers and enjoy the excellent catering service provided by Mario’s Catering. A full itinerary review and special announcements will also take place.
Monday, when the event moves into high gear, begins with a catered breakfast, followed by the chance to browse the series of on-site vendors at the Elkhart Campground. Two seminars are also scheduled including, “Keeping Your RV In Showroom Condition” by D&G Sales in addition to “Knowing Your RV Tires” presented by World of Tires. Starting Tuesday (through to Thursday), RVers can have “Coffee with the Mayor” during breakfast, while additional events on Tuesday include on-site seminars (TBD), “The Heart of RV Country Dinner”, and live entertainment in evening provided by Jeff Gordon.

Come Wednesday, participants have several choices of activities including visiting the Shipshewana Flea Market, schedule a factory tour of a local RV manufacturer, explore Elkhart County, and attend the scheduled Elkhart County Cookout at the campground. The day rounds out with an evening of Bob’s Electronic Bingo Extravaganza with Cash Prizes.
Some of the main attractions of the event are held Thursday with the popular Cornhole Tournament and what we call Das Dutchman Essenhaus Day (from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.) where everyone the can visit the grounds of the Das Dutchman Essenhaus in Middlebury, IN. RVers can browse the series of Amish shops or the popular Classic Car Drive-In, then relax with a country-style dinner at the Das Dutchman Essenhaus restaurant.
Before RVers disembark Saturday and Sunday after an exciting week, the event rounds out Friday with a visit to the RV/MH Hall of Fame, an Ice Cream Social and a camp fire in the evening.
