Nestled in California Gold Country, the Jackson Rancheria is becoming a hot destination for RV’ers. The Jackson Rancheria band of Miwuk Indians owns and operates Jackson Rancheria Casino Resort, which includes the Casino, Hotel, RV Park, General Store & Gas Station.
The RV Park is perched atop a bluff and has plenty of amenities including full hook-ups, wifi, pool, hot tub, laundry, clubhouse, casino, restaurants, hiking trails and an amazing view.
The Jackson Rancheria RV Resort is top rated and a successful experiment in community sustainability, providing jobs and community infrastructure that has improved surrounding communities. The Rancheria’s focus on nature preservation is reflected in the unusual check in process for those staying at the RV Resort. Upon arrival, RV’ers must have their tanks dumped by a “dump station concierge” prior to entering the camping area. These attendants are efficient and courteous and most interestingly, wearing relatively formal attire for this task. While the park has full hookups, the sanitary system is a closed-loop recycling system; the tribe requires all RVs to use only their (supplied) environmentally friendly sewer chemicals to maintain the systems integrity.
There’s plenty to do in the heart of the Mother Lode. Running several times each hour, small shuttles are available to take campers from the RV park to the Casino and back. While there be sure to check out the numerous dining options and tribal historical information. For non-gaming fun visit nearby small towns and try nearby hikes and even gold panning.
