Jayco has begun production of the its new 2013 Seismic toy hauler, a fifth wheel that features a stylish contoured front cap and a versatile garage area that can transport ATVs and be converted into a bunkroom, dining space or patio deck.
Sid Johnson, director of marketing for Jayco, said the new model is designed for a market that is becoming increasingly sophisticated. “Consumers want more than a garage attached to a sleeping area,” he said. “Our goal is to provide a fifth wheel which offers top-level amenities yet still provides room enough to carry whatever toys a family might want to bring along.”
The garage area has in-floor mounted D-rings to haul ATVs and motorcycles, and can also hold bicycles, canoes and other outdoor gear. It could also be converted into a workspace for crafters who sell their wares on the road or be used as a pet-grooming station by dog owners who travel to dog shows.
The living area has residential-style furniture. Features in the kitchen include toe-kick lighting, vinyl flooring, solid-surface countertops and a stainless-steel sink. The bedroom has a walk-in closet, 22-inch LCD HDTV and a queen bed with a 60-inch by 80-inch mattress with a two-inch thick topside pad. The Seismic is available in three floor plans with sleeping space for as many as eight.
A customer value package includes a home entertainment system with a 40-inch HDTV. You can also add a 22-inch TV to an exterior entertainment system.
Suggested retail price for the Jayco Seismic 3210 pictured here is $68,428. For information, visit jayco.com/seismic.
