Jayco Earns Green Rating

All RVs built by Jayco, including its Starcraft and Entegra Coach brands, have been “green certified” by TRA Certification, an internationally accredited certification organization. Jayco said it is the first major RV company to become 100 percent green certified.

The certification recognizes the use of green manufacturing processes and materials. TRA bestows four green ratings: bronze, silver, gold and emerald. Most Jayco products earned emerald ratings for water efficiency, indoor environmental quality and operation and maintenance, and gold ratings for resource and energy efficiency.  Credit is given for green technology, such as use of LED lighting systems that consume less than one-fourth the electricity of conventional lighting systems, and installation of double-paned acrylic tinted windows to boost energy efficiency.
