KOA (Kampgrounds of America) has reached an agreement to buy the Lazydays RV campground in Tucson, Arizona, from Lazdays RV, and will operate it as the Tucson/ Lazydays KOA Campground. Lazydays will continue to operate its dealership and service center at the site and will work with KOA on marketing.
“We are confident that Lazydays RV and KOA, working together, will provide an unparalleled RV ownership and camping experience,” said Tim Sheehan, Lazydays RV CEO. “KOA and Lazydays will also work together to increase awareness of our businesses among our respective customers.”
KOA President Pat Hittmeier said, “I’m confident that the synergy created by combining our two respected brands will exceed our expectations on all levels.”
KOA, which is celebrating its 51st anniversary this year, has a network of nearly 500 campground locations. In addition to its Tucson dealership, Lazydays operates the largest RV destination in North America on 126 acres outside Tampa, with 400 service bays and 900 RVs.
