Lippert Components, a subsidiary of Drew Industries, has paid $35.5 million to acquire the RV business of Actuant Corporation, which makes leveling systems, slideout mechanisms and steps for RVs under the Power Gear and Kwikee brands. The transaction includes a portfolio of more than 80 patents and patent applications for the brands. Lippert, based in Elkhart, Indiana, supplies components for RVs and manufactured homes with products built at 34 factories throughout the U.S.
