Monaco RV, which was acquired in 2009 by Navistar, a builder of commercial trucks, school buses and military vehicles, has become Navistar RV.
The company announced that it will keep Monaco, Holiday Rambler and R-Vision as brands, but its subsidiary will now be known as Navistar RV instead of Monaco RV. “Updating the name of our RV company demonstrates our long-term commitment to the RV industry,” said Daniel Ustian, Navistar chairman, president and CEO. “When a customer buys a recreational vehicle built by Navistar RV, they know they’re getting products with proven components, many of which are used in other Navistar vehicles.”
The company said it has fully integrated the design, development, testing and validation of its recreation vehicles with its commercial truck and bus operations. Navistar RV builds R-Vision and Holiday Rambler trailers in Harrisburg, Oregon, and Elkhart, Indiana, and Holiday Rambler and Monaco motorhomes in Wakarusa, Indiana.
