A new campsite reservation system has been initiated for 20 Montana state parks. Reservations may be made from two days to nine months in advance online at campmt.com or by calling (855) 922-6768 from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. weekdays and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekends.
Reserve America, a private company, is handling the reservations. A processing fee of $10 will be charged for each reservation. Twenty of Montana’s 54 state parks are participating in the reservation system, but not all of their campsites are reservable. Some will continue to accommodate visitors on a first-come, first-served basis. Some parks have cabins, yurts or tipis that can be reserved.
