SuperSteer, a division of Henderson’s Line-Up, has developed an idler support assembly designed to improve steering response in 1993-98 GM 1500-2500 Series IFS trucks.
The assembly, which is a direct replacement for the factory part, features a robust cast-aluminum, powder-coated housing and tapered roller bearings instead of sleeve bushings. The tapered roller bearing design is intended to improve the ability to carry the load, and can be adjusted to remove side play for precise movement. The SS170 assembly comes with Grade 8 hardware and instructions.
SuperSteer also offers a complete steering upgrade package that includes the idler support and a brace kit that ties the pitman arm, center link and idler support together to prevent premature ball socket wear and toe changes. For information, visit www.supersteersuperstop.com or call (888) 898-3281.
