Tents for Troops, which provides a network of free RV and tent camping sites to active military members and their families, has enlisted the support of an RV manufacturer, the Newmar Corporation of Nappanee, Indiana. Newmar will make a donation to Tents for Troops for each coach it sells this year.
Charlie Curry, founder of Tents for Troops, said the organization is inviting other RV manufacturers, suppliers and dealers to join the program by making contributions or by inviting retail customers to donate $1 when they buy an RV. The nearly 400 RV parks that participate in the program offer two-night stays to military families when space is available. More information can be found at tentsfortroops.org.
