Potter Webster Company of Portland, Oregon, has acquired McKay Truck and RV Center in Albany, Oregon, bringing together two long-established family businesses.
Potter Webster, which dates back to 1940, is a diversified company with divisions involving truck and trailer parts and service. McKay Truck and RV Center traces its origin to 1928 and the opening of Ryals Feed and Seed. That evolved into a trucking company and then a service center for trucks and trailers. RV service was added in 1994.
Under the new ownership, McKay Truck and RV Center will function as a division of Potter Webster Company. Brother and sister owners Mike and Carrie McKay will remain with the business, which has 22 employees. The 14-bay shop is equipped to serve motorhomes, trucks and travel trailers of all sizes.
