The makers of Glare-X-Plus say the leading cause of glare during night driving is sticky, streaky hazy film on the inside of the windshield caused by the outgassing of volatile oils from plastic parts in the vehicle. Glare-X-Plus removes the film. Once the surface is cleaned and sealed, it can be kept clean by wiping with plain water. One treatment lasts six to 12 months.
A 4-ounce bottle of Glare-X-Plus, which is enough to treat the interior of a large RV, costs $24.99, including shipping. For information, see www.Glare-X-Plus.com.

New Screwdriver Offers Options
Loggerhead Tools is unveiling its new Bit Dr. screwdriver set this month at the National Hardware Show in Orlando, Florida. The set contains 21 driver heads, but is no heavier than a standard screwdriver. The manufacturer says the set also has unique ergonomic features.
The compact set measures only four inches long when folded. The bits have a range of popular driving heads, including slotted, Phillips, hex, square and star. The bits fit into a removable bit carriage that also acts as a cushioned rubber handle.
The Bit Dr. can be used in six angled positions. A free-wheeling/ratcheting mechanism enables users to drive a screw with a thumb and forefinger motion, rather than turning the wrist and forearm. However, when tightening or breaking force is needed, the Bit Dr. automatically engages the ratcheting function using a standard driving motion.
The Bit Dr. is priced at $24.95. For information, contact Loggerhead Tools, P. O. Box 83, Palos Park, IL 60464. Phone (888) 564-4374 or visit www.loggerheadtools.com.
