The Pro-Fill system is designed for four six-volt batteries. The Qwik-Fill system works with two 12-volt batteries. Cost, including shipping, is $143 for Pro-Fill and $71 for Qwik-Fill. Heavy-duty kits for banks of six, eight and 12 batteries and for 8-volt batteries are also available.
The maintenance system replaces standard battery caps with caps that have an automatic shutoff and are connected by tubing. The system includes a filler bulb that forces distilled water to each battery cell in the precisely required amount. Motorhome owners can fill all the batteries on a tray without seeing or touching the batteries.

Kit Boosts Cooling Power
If an ordinary air conditioning system doesn’t make your motorhome cool enough, Workhorse Parts has a new kit called Crystal Air that dramatically boosts air conditioning power on W series motorhome platforms from Workhorse Custom Chassis. The manufacturer says the kit has been tested to deliver 48-degree air out of dash vents at outside temperatures of up to 118 degrees.
The 70-degree difference was achieved on a motorhome with an evaporator and fan system that ideally matched the kit, but the manufacturer says a difference of 35 to 45 degrees should be expected routinely. The kit adds an additional condenser and dual fan assembly to the chassis, doubling the condensing capacity. It also has a controller to monitor the system and optimize the flow of cooling fluid.
The kit has a price of $1,499, plus installation. For more information, including a list of Workhorse service centers, see www.workhorse.com or call (877) 446-7731.
Pads Keep Items in Place
PotStickers from Shockles are silicone pads that provide a non-slip surface to put under hot pans to protect a counter or table. They also can hold items in place while an RV is moving.
The distributor says the pads, which are nine inches square, will keep a table safe while holding pans as hot as 675 degrees. PotStickers also can be used as potholders and work as jar openers.
And since they are sticky, they can be used in RVs under toasters, computers and other items to keep them in place during travel.
PotStickers come in three colors and are priced at $8.95. For information, contact Shockles distributor Simple Brilliant, P. O. Box 856, Hood River OR 97031. See www.shockles.com or call (888) 557-6464.
Opening Access to Spare Tires
Air Your Spare is a spare tire inflation system from Wheel Masters that is designed to make it easy to check pressure and add air to spare tires that are mounted under the chassis of trucks, vans and SUVs.
The system includes a 36-inch stainless steel hose that connects to the tire and is held in place by a bracket that attaches the hose to the bumper. The mounting hardware includes a 90-degree valve extension for tough-to-reach spots.
For spare tires that are mounted inside a trunk, Wheel Masters offers a 36-inch rubber hose that attaches to the tire and can be fed under the trunk lining to a position that is easily accessible.
