More than 15,000 people will soon receive a direct mail piece with a key card similar to a discount card available for grocery frequent shopper clubs. Each key card contains a code number, which the key holder enters on the newly created www.WelcomeBackToWP.com website, for a chance to win $10,000. Guests can receive additional coded key cards each time they shop at a participating Winter Park-Fraser Valley business and show their receipt at the Winter Park Visitor Center.
Five winning codes will be selected throughout the campaign, but only one Grand Prize will be awarded at a special end-of-winter event. The four runners-up will win gift certificates for free lodging, dining and activities in the Winter Park – Fraser area.
Additionally, the chamber plans to hold several “Welcome Wagon” events in Denver throughout January; including the Denver Pavilions on Tuesday, Jan. 13th; the Pepsi Center for a Colorado Avalanche game, and in conjunction with the National Western Stock Show. People who stop by these “Welcome Wagon” sites will also receive additional key codes for additional chances to win!
The “Welcome Back to Winter Park” campaign was made possible by an unprecedented $120,000 funding grant from the marketing fund reserves of the Winter Park-Fraser Valley Chamber. The integrated, multi-channel campaign includes radio, email releases, direct mail and public relations. Additionally, the campaign targets former Winter Park Resort season pass holders, Front Range residents who have requested information on Winter Park in the past, and second homeowners in the area.
