The event, Aug. 21 and 22, will include sets by Canned Heat, Ten Years After, Jefferson Starship performing the music of Jefferson Airplane, and Big Brother and the Holding Company performing the music of Janis Joplin. The show will be hosted by Country Joe McDonald and will include an appearance by the Grateful Dead’s Tom Constanten.
{mosgoogle left}The Woodstock bands will play Saturday in a concert that will run from 3 p.m. to 2 a.m. Boom, a classic rock band, will appear Friday night along with Randy Hansen, who created the first Jimi Hendrix tribute act in the 1970s and has since performed it throughout the U.S. and Europe. Hansen will also close the Saturday show.
The event will offer on-site camping at the Blues Ranch along the Methow River, and will include food and craft vendors and a beer garden. A Friday and Saturday night pass that includes camping is $89 in advance and $95 at the gate. Tickets for the Saturday show only are $69 in advance and $75 at the gate. A free downloadable recording of the show will be available free to all attendees.
