RVIA, RPTIA End Merger Talks

A proposal to merge the Recreational Park Trailer Industry Association with the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association has been dropped after a year of discussions and negotiations.

The RPTIA represents park model manufacturers while the RVIA represents the RV industry. William R. Garpow, executive director of the RPTIA, said his board voted to end negotiations. “The process was not a loss, however, as both associations now have a better understanding of each other. It is hoped that the two associations can continue to work together on matters of mutual interest.”
