Winnebago Industries reported improved sales in the second quarter of its 2010 fiscal year. Revenues for the quarter that ended February 27 reached $110.5 million, compared with $31.8 million in the same period last year.
For the first six months of this year, the company reduced its operating loss to $7.8 million from $35.5 million in the same period in 2009. Tax benefits helped reduce the six-month net loss for 2010 to $638,000.
The company reported significant increases in Class A motorhome deliveries. It had an order backlog of 1,159 motorhomes at the end of February, a 246 percent increase from a year ago.
