Forest River to revived Shasta as an RV brand with plans to debut its first products this fall. Shasta was a name formerly used by Coachmen RV, which was acquired by Forest River in 2008.
The new Shasta division will be separate from Coachmen, and will be headed by Brad Whitehead, former director of travel trailer sales at Heartland Recreational Vehicles. Shasta plans to build travel trailers, fifth wheels and Class C motorhomes in Middlebury, Indiana.
The Shasta name has been associated with small travel trailers, but Whitehead said the new products will be varied. “Shasta has been a part of history in the industry, but our intent is to add a whole new chapter,” he said.
