Daryl Adams, who has been serving as chief operating officer of Spartan Motors, will succeed John Sztikiel as president and chief executive officer of the company when Sztikiel retires on February 19.
Sztkiel joined the company in 1985 and helped it grow from $9.9 million in revenue that year to more than $500 million in 2014. Adams has been with Spartan since last August and previously was chief executive officer of Midway Products Group, an automotive supplier. Spartan designs, engineers and manufactures chassis, specialty vehicles and truck bodies for the RV industry and other markets.
