Ford recently announced that it will be offering the new XLT Sport Appearance Package to its popular Explorer SUV line for 2017, allowing consumers to tow and travel in even more comfort and style. The addition of the package expands the Explorer line to six models. Other versions include the base, XLT, Limited, Sport and Platinum edition.
Available this summer, the XLT package comes equipped with all of the standard XLT features with many added touches that include 20-inch Magnetic Gray wheels, a black roof rack, Ebony Black body side cladding, and an Explorer hood badge. Inside, users will appreciate the Dark Earth Gray leather for the front seats, outer bolsters that feature Salerno leather, and Dark Earth Gray Miko suede for the seat back uppers.
“In the market right now, across all our SUVs, customers are looking for unique colors, wheels and interior appointments,” said Omar Odeh, Explorer brand marketing manager. “We’ve worked closely with Ford Design to deliver a unique look that will resonate with customers.”
Beginning this spring, Escape buyers can also consider the Sport Appearance Package for 2017 that is available for Escape SE and Titanium models. The package includes premium 19-inch Ebony Black aluminum wheels and high-gloss upper grille, black belt line molding and front fenders, and partial leather sport seats with contrast stitching.
