Rheem has introduced a new line of tankless electric water heaters that can provide instant hot water in recreational vehicles and boats as well as homes.
The heaters come in an all-metal housing in sizes ranging from a cigar box to a large shoebox. The units can be placed under a kitchen sink, in a bathroom or wherever hot water is needed. The manufacturer says the units aid conservation by drawing on electricity only when hot water is needed and by providing hot water nearly instantaneously.
Each unit has a temperature control knob and includes an LED light to show when the heat elements are active. Weight ranges from 6 to 12 pounds and prices range from $228 to $892. For information, visit rheem.com.
