If Phil Mickelson wins this year’s U.S. Open, some lucky golfer could win $1.5 million! Callaway Golf recently announced “The Big Big Bertha Payday,” a promotion that’s available in the U.S. and Canada. Golfers who demo a Big Bertha Alpha driver, Big Bertha driver, or Big Bertha fairway wood at a participating location will receive a code that they can be used to enter for a chance to win the same dollar amount that Phil Mickelson wins at the season’s second major championship. The U.S. Open is scheduled for June 12-15 at historic Pinehurst Resort & Country Club – Pinehurst No. 2 in North Carolina.
The Big Bertha Alpha is the first golf club with four independent forms of adjustability, and the first to include adjustable vertical center of gravity. The Big Bertha driver, a total performance driver, debuts an innovative sliding weight that is positioned around the perimeter of the driver head to help produce longer, straighter, drives. The Big Bertha fairway wood has faster ball speeds across the face, a result of the lighter, thinner, hyper-speed face cup.
To make it easy for everyone to participant in the promotion, Callaway Golf will also allow participants the option of entering the contest without even touching a Big Bertha or other Callaway club for that matter. As such, during the sweepstakes period, all you have to do is visit www.bigberthapayday.com, provide the entry information requested, and enter the Code BIGBERTHA2014. For the name of participating retailer location you visited select “Other” from the pull-down menu and click “Submit” to receive one alternate entry into the sweepstakes.
A few other rules for the contest: Entrants can only register and enter the sweepstakes under one e-mail address. The Entry Information received must match the information of the entrant who completed the sweepstakes entry.
In addition to the grand prize of $1.5 million, one second prize winner will receive a Callaway driver autographed by Phil Mickelson. The driver’s retail value is $500.
