Thor Motor Coach, formed through the consolidation of the Damon and Four Winds divisions of Thor Industries, has unveiled the new logo and shield that will be used on both its gas and diesel brands.
The new logo is part of an aggressive marketing effort that is being undertaken to promote the Thor name, which company officials say is not sufficiently recognized even though Thor Industries is the world’s largest manufacturer of recreational vehicles.
Dana Simon, vice president of gas motorhome sales for Thor, said the goal is to develop the kind of brand loyalty associated with brands like Coke, Toyota and Boeing. “Dealers are going to see the gloves are off as we make the move to promote the overall strength of Thor Motor Coach,” he said. “We are here to change the face of business in the motorhome market.”
The company has launched a new website, ThorMotor-Coach.com, to help customers get information about its brands and find dealers.
