Thor Industries, one of the world’s largest RV manufacturers, reported record sales and a bigger backlog in preliminary results for the third quarter of its fiscal year, ending April 30. Sales for the quarter were $1.05 billion, up 13 percent from last year. For the first nine months, sales were $2.49 billion, up 6 percent. Most of the gain was in motorhome sales, while towables were flat for the nine-month period. Thor reported a more than 25 percent increase in order backlog for the most recent quarter.
