The Tuscany motor coach has new front and rear caps, frameless windows and new exterior paint designs for 2014. It also has adopted an independent front suspension system that the manufacturer, Thor Motor Coach, describes as similar to that of a Prevost bus.
Also added recently is a 40-foot model, the 40RX, that doesn’t have a tag axle like the bigger Tuscany coaches, but does have many luxury features, including a 450-horsepower Cummins diesel engine, an Aqua-Hot heating system and elegant hardwood cabinetry.
LED lighting, solid-surface countertops and porcelain tile flooring are found throughout the coach. A surround-sound home theater includes a large TV, DVD stereo receiver and stand-alone Blu-ray player. There are 32-inch TVs in the bedroom and the exterior entertainment center, and you have the option of adding one to the cockpit.
The kitchen has a stainless steel residential refrigerator with an ice and water dispenser in the door, an electric induction cooktop, a microwave/convection oven and a dishwasher drawer. There is also another 40-foot Tuscany floor plan, the 40KQ, that includes a peninsula n kitchen.
Tuscany motor coaches have MSRPs starting at $349,033. Thor Motor Coach also builds the Tuscany XTE, which offers luxury in motorhomes from 35 to 40 feet in length. Suggested retail prices for the Tuscany XTE start at $269,101.
