Former chairman and CEO Robert Olson has returned to Winnebago Industries to serve as interim CEO while the board searches for a successor to Randy Potts, who retired August 6.
In a statement, the board’s lead independent director, Larry Erickson, credited Potts with guiding Winnebago to a successful recovery from challenging economic conditions. But, he said, “After having extensive discussions with Randy, we collectively agreed that this is the appropriate time for new leadership. We wish him the best in his retirement.” Olson, 64, will lead the company while the board and an executive search firm work to select Winnebago’s next CEO.
