Winnebago Eyes Trailer Business

Winnebago Industries, which began as a travel trailer manufacturer before becoming a builder of motorhomes, has taken a step toward reentering the travel trailer business.

The company has signed a letter of intent stating its interest in acquiring SunnyBrook Manufacturing, which builds travel trailers and fifth wheels in Middlebury, Indiana. Winnebago said it will make a formal assessment of SunnyBrook before deciding whether to proceed with the acquisition, which could be completed by the end of this year. SunnyBrook brands are Harmony, Brookside, Bristol Bay, Edgewater, Sunset Creek, West Pointe, Big Dog and Titan.
